Middleport Man Charged with Aggravated Murder in Athens County

ATHENS, Ohio – A Middleport man has been arrested and charged in the death of another individual.

Andy Oliver Doczi, 37, of Middleport, booked into the Southeastern Regional Jail May 24, 2019, according to their website. He has been charged with Aggravated Murder. Doczi is scheduled for an initial appearance in Athens Municipal Court on May 28. He is being held on a $1 million cash only bond at present.

Doczi was arrested deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office. Doczi is alleged to fatally shot a man whose body was discovered in the area of Shade.
