One Dead Following Crash on State Route 143
MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio – One man is dead following a crash just before midnight on January 29, 2020.
According to a statement from the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Byron B. Bolin, 46, of Albany, Ohio was driving a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 when he crashed on State Route 143 near milepost 15 in Meigs County. Bolin was westbound on State Route 143 when his vehicle slid off the left side of the roadway striking a tree. According to the OSHP, Bolin was wearing his seatbelt.
In addition to first responders, Bigony Jordan Funeral Home was called to the scene. The deceased was transported by Bigony Jordan to the funeral home.
