More Cases Reported from Overbrook in Latest COVID-19 Update

POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Health Department is reporting 13 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Meigs County. Twelve of today’s cases are associated with the outbreak at Overbrook Rehabilitation Center. These cases of COVID-19 bring Meigs County to 36 active cases, and 106 total cases (90Confirmed, 16 Probable) since April.

August 26 Cases

  • Confirmed case, female in the 90 to 99-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 70 to 79-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 80 to 89-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 90 to 99-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, male in the 60 to 69-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 90 to 99-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 70 to 79-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 90 to 99-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 80 to 89-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 80 to 89-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 30 to 39-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 10 to 19-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.

August 25 Cases:

  • Confirmed case, female in the 20 to 29-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, male in the 50 to 59-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 80 to 89-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 90 to 99-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 90 to 99-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 90 to 99-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Probable case, male in the less than 1 to 9-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized. 

Recovered Cases

  • Today the Meigs County Health Department is also reporting one recovered cases of COVID-19 bringing the total recovered cases to 62 and one new hospitalization in the 70-79-year-old age range. 
  • On August 25, the Meigs County Health Department also reported six recovered cases of COVID-19 bringing the total recovered cases to 61.

The health department asks residents to refrain from calling the Meigs County Health Department for questions regarding these cases while they complete disease investigations, contact tracing, and notify relevant individuals. The cases and individuals identified as contacts of the case will be advised to self-quarantine in accordance with CDC guidance. 

The health department continues to urge residents to continue following federal, state, and local guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
