George Ellis, 58, of Rutland
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Ellis, 58, of Rutland, Ohio. On Sunday September 20, 2020 George Ellis won his battle with Glioblastoma with his beloved sister Ruth (Gene) Dent and life long friend and mother of his children Barbara Gray by his side. While there was no Earthly cure for his condition we take comfort knowing he is healed and whole again in the kingdom of heaven
George was born on August 15, 1962 in Mesa, Arizona to parents Roy and Clara Ellis. George proudly served in the Army National Guard during the 80’s where he was activated many times to assist in disasters and emergencies. George was a renowned auto body repair man and painter during his life. He loved restoring pieces of the past for future generations to enjoy. George was an avid Harley Davidson rider and collector. He loved the freedom of his bike and the open road. The only thing he loved more than his Harley was his family. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. George never knew a stranger and would go out of his way to care for and help anyone he could.
