Meigs Updates COVID Cases

POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Health Department is reporting seven additional confirmed cases and one probable of COVID-19 in Meigs County. These cases of COVID-19 bring Meigs County to 15 active cases, and 213 total cases (178 Confirmed, 35Probable) since April.

Today’s Cases:

  • Confirmed case, male in the 20 to 29-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, male in the 80 to 89-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 80 to 89-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, male in the 70 to 79-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 60 to 69-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 60 to 69-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Confirmed case, female in the 60 to 69-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
  • Probable case, male in the 60 to 69-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized. 

From the health department, “We ask residents to please refrain from calling the Health Department for questions regarding these cases while we complete our disease investigations, contact tracing, and notify relevant individuals. The cases and individuals identified as contacts of the case will be advised to self-quarantine in accordance with CDC guidance.”
