158th Meigs County Fair Royalty Crowned

ROCKSPRINGS, Ohio – The 2021 Meigs County Fair officially kicked off with the Junior Fair Parade followed by opening ceremonies which included the crowning of royalty.

Youth was on display throughout the evening with the Junior Fair Parade and opening ceremony. The evening came to an end with crowning of royalty for the 158th Meigs County Fair. This year things were slightly different with having the crowning of the Little Miss and Little Mister along with the rest of the royalty.

Peoples Bank Corp. sponsored the 2021 royalty. The King and Queen also received a scholarship from Home National Bank.

Olivia Harris, 17, of Long Bottom, was crowned Meigs County Fair Queen. She is a Senior at Eastern High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society and the Archery club. Olivia is a member of the Meigs Creek 4-H club where she is vice president. She is also the treasurer of the Junior Fair Board.

Jacob Spencer, 17, of Racine, was crowned Meigs County Fair King. He is a Junior at Eastern High School where he participates in varsity basketball, golf, and track. He is a member of Meigs Creek 4-H club, and a member of the Junior Fair Board. Jacob’s parents are Kimberly and Jared Spencer.

Lizzie Parry, 14, of Coolville, was crowned Meigs County Livestock Princess. She is an eighth grader at Meigs Middle School. She is also a two year member of the Next Generation 4-H club where she has held the offices of health and safety and president. Her Hobbies include raising sheep on her families farm, and being a Junior Firefighter on the Tuppers Plains Fire Department. She is also a member of the junior fair board. Lizzie’s parents are Matthew and Meghan Parry.

Jacob Fitch, 11, of Coolville, was crowned Meigs County Livestock Prince. He is a sixth grader at Meigs Middle School. He is a third year member of the Next Generation 4-H club where he has served as vice president. His hobbies include riding four wheelers, riding his bike, learning to sew, Ninja gymnastics and working on his farm. Jacob is a junior member of the Tuppers Plains Fire Department. Jacob’s parents are Nicholas and Ashley Fitch.

The 2021 Meigs County Little Miss is Ariana Bland. First runner-up is Lucy Lane Mankim. Second runner-up is Paisley Hicks.

The 2021 Meigs County Little Mister is Everett Lee with Caiden Sellers first runner-up and Braxton Madden the second runner-up.

The fair royalty will be assisting in various events throughout the week. They will hand out ribbons and awards among other duties. Following the conclusion of the fair, they will represent the fair at local events such as Fourth of July parades. They will also represent the county at other fairs throughout the state.
