167th Ohio State Fair Begins July 27

COLUMBUS, Ohio – It is fair season again and that means the return of the Ohio State Fair.

The Ohio State Fair kicks off on July 27 and there are many attractions and events to choose from while attending. Here’s some exciting things to look forward to at the 2022 Ohio State Fair, all included in the price of admission.

Performances by escape artists comedians,
The butter cow
An 8-acre natural resources park with kiddie fishing, kayaking, an accessible playground, Smokey Bear, andmore
OVMA Veterinary Education Center where you can milk a real cow or see baby animals being born
Livestock shows
Petting zoo
Pig races

The 2022 Ohio State Fair also offers some exciting new attractions.

The Dog House – Check out a variety of canine entertainment, including the world-famous Marvelous Mutts and interactive Canine Classes.
Lady Houdini – This daredevil performer is sure to impress with her pulse-racing stunts and escapes! Check out her daily show in Kiddieland.
Little Farmers — Children aged 3 – 10 can participate in this hands-on agricultural education experience.
New performers — The Strolling Piano, the Rubber Chicken Show, Kate Escape, the Hip Hop Juggler, and others.

On Aug. 3 from 10 a.m, to 1 p.m., the fair will be turning down the lights and volume to make the Fair more sensory friendly in partnership with OCALI, the Autism Society of Central Ohio, and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Ride the rides with no flashing lights or music or take a break in the quiet room.

Buy your tickets now at a discounted price of $8 through July 26. Ride wristbands can also be purchased at a discounted rate of $25 through July 26 only.
