Pomeroy Firefighter Hartenbach recognized for 50 years of service

On Sunday January 8, 2023 the Pomeroy fire department recognized Firefighter Steve Hartenbach for his 50th anniversary of serving on the department. Hartenbach joined the department on January 28, 1973 under Chief Charles Legar. 

Hartenbach was given a surprise luncheon after the regular business meeting. Attending as special guest were Steve’s wife Pam, daughter Kaitlynn, and granddaughter Zoiee. In addition to the members of the department, special friends and ladies auxiliary members Brooke See and Tammi Zirkle.

Hartenbach was presented a plaque noting his 50 years of Service,Intergrity and Commitment to the department. Senior firefighter Brent Zirkle presented Hartenbach a inscribed  pocket watch which is a tradition. The Ladies Auxiliary member Brooke See presented Hartenbach with a silver tie bar.
