John Casteel

John Casteel, 62, of Pomeroy, OH, passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, in Nelsonville, OH. 
He was born Dec. 18, 1960, in Athens, OH, son of the late Arthur and Ruby Eskins Casteel. John was an avid hunter and fisherman. 
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tammy McGrath Casteel; daughter, Tashia (Brandon) Casteel; 2 sons, Shane Casteel and Cody (Sara) Casteel; 8 grandchildren, Jerimiah, Melanie, Chrisyan, Belle, Aaliyah, Dylan Aden and Adrian; 2 brothers, Rex (Carol) Eskins and Arthur (Julie) Casteel and sister, Della (Mike) Casteel. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Keith; and 2 sisters-in-law, Missie and Deanna. 
Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
