Jennifer (Jen) Michelle Wolfe Greene

Jennifer (Jen) Michelle Wolfe Greene, 35, Evans, WV went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 20, 2023. Born December 29, 1987 at Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis, Ohio, Jennifer was the oldest daughter of Amy Littlefield Wolfe (Jim Diddle) of Ravenswood, WV; and Scott (Holly) Wolfe, of Racine, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, Jennifer is survived by husband Jack Greene, Ravenswood, WV; her daughter Avery Hill in the home; and step-children Jacob Greene, Todd Greene, and Lydia Greene; and step grandchildren Julian and Saige Greene.

Also surviving are sister Kylie (Jonathan) Garrett; brother Torrey (Alexandria) Wolfe; and sister Jovi Wolfe; grandparents Dan and Shirley Littlefield; niece Haddie Milam and nephews Cash Garrett and Hilton Taylor Wolfe, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of her family. Also, surviving are mother-in-law Kim (Steve) Palmer; and father-in-law Rick (Brenda) Greene. She also leaves special friends Krista Duncan Melton, Anthony and Maria Banks, and Lindsey Whitehair.

Jennifer was very talented in many ways and enjoyed life and people. She was noted for having a kind heart, loving personality, and never knowing a stranger. Jennifer was the person that could cheer you up if you were having a bad day and keep you laughing if it was a good day.

Jennifer played college basketball and Tennis at Marietta College in Ohio, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree; then earned her Juris Doctorate degree in law from West Virginia University. Over the years she worked for several law firms, and also had her own law practice. Most recently she was a practicing attorney for the West Virginia State Legislature, penning bills and offering legal advice.

Jen’s proudest moment of her law career was during the current West Virginia legislative session when she was a major part of passing “Liam’s Law”. Only, last week she was ecstatic over having her picture taken with Governor Jim Justice and infamous “Baby Dog”.

Jen was a three-sport athlete at Ravenswood High School in West Virginia. She earned many elite awards and honors as an athlete in high school. Some of the awards and honors she earned include 1st team All-State in volleyball and softball; and earned second team All-State honors in basketball. Her junior and senior year, she earned all-conference in all three sports. She was the volleyball conference player of the year her senior year. She holds multiple school records in all three sports. In basketball, she is a member of the 1,000-point club with 1,319 career points.

Last Fall, she was recognized as a Ravenswood Red Devilette Legend and was one of several young ladies to have her number retired in a ceremony. She also had an exceptional academic career and participated and was recognized in several clubs and committees throughout high school and college.

Jen loved to watch her daughter Avery play basketball, softball, cheerleading, gymnastics and much more. She also liked to travel with her daughter, much of the time with her Granny at her side.

Jen loved going to family events and spending time with them. Jen was a Christian, was saved, and attended the Warehouse Church in Parkersburg, WV.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents Hilton Wolfe, Jr and Marilyn Wolfe of Racine, Ohio.

Funeral services will be officiated by her Uncle, Dr. Bill Littlefield.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Avery Hill Fund at United Bank in Ripley, West Virginia 25271. Friends who do not have access to a United Bank may send a check in Avery’s name to the funeral home.

Funeral services have been arranged by Waybright Funeral Home, 511 South Church St., Ripley , WV. Visitation will be Sunday, April 2 from 1-4 with the funeral set for 4 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Racine, Ohio.
