Janet Sue (Kennedy) Manyak, age 68 of Inglis, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Savior the morning of April 4, 2023 at her residence.

Jan was born September 9, 1954, to Lewis (Duke) and Alice Kennedy in Gallipolis, Ohio. Jan spent her childhood growing up surrounded by friends and many family members in Rutland, Ohio. She was a 1973 graduate of Meigs High School, with many classmates that she still remained in regular contact with. With deep roots in Meigs and Gallia county she resided primarily in Florida for the last 20 years, making frequent trips back “home” to spend time with family and friends. All             while making sure that everyone knew that they had a place to stay if they ever wanted to visit.

Jan was the proud mother of three children Mandy (Brian) Lane, Tyson Reitmire, and Jesse Reitmire. On December 19,1991 she married Louie Manyak, who survives her, and was his co-pilot in life for many adventures. She is also survived by one brother Robert (Dink) and Loretta Kennedy, three grandchildren that she loved dearly, Olivia Lane and Preston and Zuyleme Reitmire. Also, a grandpuppy Samantha. Jan is also left to be remembered by a huge extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins that can’t be listed for fear of missing someone. As well as nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Jan was proceded in death by her parents, brother Billy Joe Kennedy, and daughter in law Tara Reitmire.

To know Jan was to love Jan. She just had a way about her that commanded attention. She was funny, quirky and had a big heart. She loved her family and friends dearly and was the perfect hype-man. Jan enjoyed antiques and researching them, as well as collecting them. She had traveled all over with Louie and enjoyed seeing different places. It was once said that she was perfectly imperfect, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Per her wishes, Jan will be cremated. At a later date there will be a celebration of life held to honor her and share memories of her life. Of which there is no shortage.
