Mitchell “Mitch” Norman Judson
Mitchell “Mitch” Norman Judson passed peacefully at home on October 30th, 2023 in Vincent, Ohio at the age of 63.
Mitchell was born on December 4th, 1959 in Mason, West Virginia to Edgar Judson and Ruby Backus. He graduated from Warren High School in 1978 and married Tammy Cremeans of Tuppers Plains, Ohio on February 20th, 1983 and welcomed three children. He worked for Carpenters Local Union No. 356 until his retirement.
Mitch is survived by his children, Melinda (Anthony) Schneider of Clinton Township, Michigan, Brittany (Don) Mitchell of McConnelsville, Ohio, Perry Judson of Vincent, Ohio and his six grandsons. He is also survived by his siblings Laura (Robert) Jordan of Cutler, Ohio, Wayne (Rebecca) Judson of Belpre, Ohio, and Sue Ann Allen of Wibaux, Montana. He also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Edgar Judson, his mother Ruby Backus, step-father Jesse Backus, and brother John Judson.
Mitch was passionate about carpentry and helped build many local hospitals and libraries as well as The Ohio State University football stadium. Mitch was known for his willingness to help others in need. His caring nature ensured that he had many long lasting friendships throughout his life.
As Mitch would say “There you have it in a nutshell!”
The funeral is scheduled for 7 P.M, Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, Ohio, with Rev. Duane Stutler officiating. Visiting hours will be at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home on Saturday, from 5-7 P.M.. All are welcome to attend and share memories in celebration of Mitchell’s life.
