Meigs County Foundation awards 17 grants totaling more than $50,000
POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Foundation (MCF) has awarded 17 grants for 2023, totaling more than $50,000, to advance projects and programs serving organizations throughout Meigs County.
“We are so pleased to support these outstanding organizations working to expand opportunities for Meigs County residents” said MCF President Jennifer Sheets. “The Meigs County Foundation invests homegrown dollars in projects that benefit our local communities and residents, and we are thrilled to see the difference our 2023 grant partners will make across Meigs County.”
Earlier this year, MCF, in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, invited nonprofit and public organizations to apply for grants for projects and programs benefiting Meigs County residents. Preference was given to efforts that increase quality of life,
create access to opportunities or implement a solution to a local need.
Seventeen grants were awarded during the 2023 funding cycle and announced at a reception held at the Blakeslee Center on November 14.
