Roy Lee Reed
Roy Lee Reed, 82, of Reedsville, OH, passed away at his home on November 19, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Roy was born July 6, 1941, to the late Francis and Geneva (Mosser) Reed.
Roy worked for Ames Local 2997 Plant 2 for 34 years. He served in the Army for 6 years and loved to share his stories. He was a member of the Reedsville United Methodist Church. He loved stock cars,
working puzzles and spending time with his 6 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids.
Roy is survived by daughter, Brenda Grady of Cheshire, OH, daughter, Lea Ann Reed of Reedsville, OH, daughter Crystal Reed of Reedsville, OH, son, Roy Reed Jr of Reedsville, OH and daughter, Rebecca (Kevin) Reed of Tuppers Plains, OH. Roy is also survived by a sister, Jeannie (Jim) Leeson of Vienna WV; sister-in-law, Dixie Reed of Pennsboro, WV and sister-in-law, Mary Reed of Killbuck, OH.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Caryl (Chevalier) Reed; parents, Francis and Geneva Reed; brothers, John Reed and Lewis Reed.
Funeral services will be held a 1 P.M., Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Gilbert W. Neely officiating. Military services will be conducted at the funeral home by the Tuppers Plains VFW.
There will be no graveside service.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, from 11 A.M. until time of service.
