Meigs County District Public Library Announces New Project

Locals of Racine may have noticed some construction at the Racine branch of the Meigs County District Public Library over the past few weeks. The new addition is a result of a vote in approval from the library board.

Once completed this project will provide library patrons with a new outdoor area, which will be called the Racine Pavilion. Library staff plans to expand their outdoor programs they offer and hope this will make those events more comfortable and enjoyable for patrons. In their announcement post the library joked the pavilion will ensure “No more getting rained on, or being overheated while attending the Children’s Reading Program!”.

Plans are in the works to provide programing for all ages at the new addition. The library expects completion of the Racine Pavilion as soon as spring 2025.
