A Cheektowaga man was sentenced to two to six years in jail for recklessly killing a 76-year-old driver in a West Seneca crash last year, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday.

Alan Bulera, 49, rear-ended a minivan while driving his SUV on August 11, 2024, at the intersection of Clinton Street and Borden Road.

Irene Mair, 76, of West Seneca, the minivan’s driver, died in the hospital after being treated for injuries for several weeks.

Bulera admitted to second-degree manslaughter in June.

Bulera’s driver’s license was revoked as part of the sentence.
