Lewisville’s streets have become a little safer as a result of a recent arrest by the local police department. The Lewisville Police Department stated, in a direct and to-the-point social media post, that they had apprehended the perpetrator in two violent robberies that occurred earlier this month on Corporate Drive and Southwest Parkway.

LPD identified 19-year-old Mario Anaya as the suspect after what could be described as persistent detective work. Anaya was caught without incident on Tuesday, following a week-long investigation. Law enforcement was able to issue the BOLO promptly and efficiently, resulting in a successful arrest. Anaya has now been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and an extra count of interfering with an emergency need for aid.

His current bond at the Lewisville Jail is $110,000, reflecting the gravity of his alleged crimes. The authorities aren’t letting up while he awaits the next steps in the judicial procedure. The inquiry is ongoing, with detectives and cops gathering evidence and actively promoting the public’s participation.
