A man driving without a license was detained during a traffic stop at a country club in The Villages.

Anthony Michael Nowosad, 36, of Lady Lake, was driving a white Mazda sedan on Buena Vista Boulevard near Palmer Legends Country Club around 6 a.m. Sunday when a deputy noticed the vehicle lacked functioning license plate lights, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

During a traffic encounter, the Illinois native admitted to not having a driver’s license. A criminal history check revealed that he was convicted of driving while his license was suspended in Indiana in 2019.

He was arrested on the charge of driving without a license. He was booked into Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting a $500 bond.
