The Memphis Safe Task Force discovered a child who had been reported missing for two weeks on Monday, according to the US Marshals Service.

According to the agency, the child was reported missing on October 12 and recovered by the Shelby County task force on October 27 after following up on numerous leads.

Since October 1, when the task force was established, the USMS reports that 143 children have gone missing in Shelby County. However, the child discovered on Monday was the 84th successfully retrieved juvenile.

They further claim that several of these children have been found outside of the state.

“The Memphis Safe Task Force is committed to using every resource available to locate and recover missing and endangered children,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller, Western District of Tennessee.
