A woman was shot on Tuesday by her ex-girlfriend following an altercation over a debit card, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
According to police, it all began when the woman’s ex-girlfriend arrived at her Frayser home on Amselle Circle to return her debit card. They walked outside and began arguing, resulting in a brawl between the women, according to MPD.
The woman informed authorities that she was returning to her home when her ex-girlfriend shot her in the leg. The woman’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to authorities.
According to MPD, the woman’s ex-girlfriend drove away in a black 2016 Nissan Maxima. The suspect was still missing Wednesday morning.
