A woman has been charged with intentionally crashing her SUV into another woman at a Bucks County gas station during a road rage incident.

According to officials, the event occurred on Tuesday, November 4, at around 11:30 a.m. in Upper Southampton Township, Pennsylvania.

A woman informed police she was driving on Street Road when she became involved in a road rage incident with another driver, who was later identified by detectives as Linda Eckert, 64, of Perkasie, Pennsylvania.

Eckert and the other woman then stopped at a United Gas station and parked. According to the criminal complaint, Eckert began screaming at the woman as she was about to leave after purchasing items from the gas station store.

Eckert then left the parking lot, returned, and drove toward the second woman at high speed, hitting her leg and knocking her to the ground, according to police. Eckert then allegedly got out of her vehicle, pointed at the other woman, returned to her SUV, and departed the area.

The woman contacted police, who reviewed CCTV footage of the incident. They then visited Eckert’s house and arrested her. According to investigators, Eckert was wearing blue scrubs during both the driving rage incident and the arrest.

Eckert was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault by car, simple assault, possession of a criminal device with intent, recklessly endangering another person, reckless driving, and other connected offenses.

While Eckert was able to post bond, the judge ordered her to take anger management lessons.
