Police believed they had discovered the remains of an Ohio man who went missing earlier this year.
Trenton Rollins was reported missing in March after allegedly leaving his house, according to a Delaware Police spokesperson.
He was believed to be driving a blue BMW with the Ohio registration plate KOR 6295.
Officers felt Rollins had departed on his own, and no foul play was suspected, according to the spokeswoman.
Chaos Diving, an independent search and rescue team, discovered a submerged vehicle in the Hoover Reservoir. It matched the description of Rollins’ vehicle.
The BMW was removed the following day.
During the recovery, human remains were discovered. Police suspect they belong to Rollins, according to a spokeswoman.
The remains have been transferred to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
They will do an autopsy, formal identification, and other forensic tests to identify the cause of death.
