Up, down, and down. That’s the National Weather Service forecast for central Pennsylvania through the weekend.
Following cold temperatures Saturday night, Pennsylvania will warm up to the 60s on Sunday, with a low chance of rain increasing overnight. Monday’s high temperatures are expected to be in the 50s.
The break should allow Pennsylvanians enough time to secure anything left outside. Strong winds of 45 to 55 mph will blow Monday afternoon, with temperatures dropping near freezing by sundown.
The winds—and a possible inch of snow—will continue into Tuesday in central Pennsylvania, though northern regions of the state may see more snow, according to the National Weather Service.
From Tuesday to Thursday, the temperature will average around freezing during the day and dip into the 20s at night.
Snow showers may persist through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service, with lower temperatures and wind chills expected on New Year’s Eve and January 1.
