Authorities recently reported a traffic stop incident on Gosling Road that resulted in an arrest for an unusual misdemeanor offense. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Motors Unit conducted the stop on January 20, 2026, and identified the driver as Chad Clowson. What looked to be a normal traffic stop suddenly became complicated when it was discovered that Clowson had an arrest warrant for unlawful installation of a tracking device.
According to Constable Mark Herman’s statement, “Chad Clowson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for an open warrant. ” Clowson’s legal predicament resulted in a $5,000.00 bond set by County Court 5. This type of charge is uncommon in most cases, and it is unclear why Clowson received such a warrant.
The constable’s office, like many other law enforcement agencies, communicates with the public using social media and technology.
