Pembroke Pines Man Apprehended After 3 Dogs Found In Crate On Cold Patio: Cops

A Pembroke Pines man was detained after three malnourished dogs were discovered in a crate on a cold patio over the weekend, authorities said.

Pembroke Pines Police said officers responded after being alerted by a good Samaritan and discovered the three canines in a 4×5 foot kennel on a home’s enclosed patio.

According to authorities, the canines had no access to food or water and were not protected from frigid temperatures below 40 degrees at the time of the inquiry.

According to officials, all three canines seemed to be underweight, and no dog food was available in the home.

The police department’s Animal Assistance Program accepted the canines for medical treatment and care.

Their owner, 24-year-old Jaylen Holmes, was arrested on many counts of animal abuse, including depriving them of food and water and keeping them in inadequate enclosures.
