A Mesa school employee is in custody for allegedly sending inappropriate texts to a teen student.
Mesa police said they received a complaint on Monday afternoon from administrators at Empower Academy near Sossaman and Guadalupe roads, who had discovered the inappropriate text messages.
Police suspect 24-year-old Dominic Sette, a teacher’s aide at the school, had been corresponding with the juvenile boy for several months.
In those texts, he allegedly requested improper pictures of the victim.
Sette was detained on Tuesday and charged with both sexual exploitation of a juvenile and luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
