Police are investigating after a body was discovered in the Chicago River on Monday.
The body was discovered in the water in the 2200 block of S. Halsted Street around 8:32 a.m., according to police.
Police in Chicago later identified the body as that of a woman.
There was no more information released regarding the discovery.
CPD stated that they were conducting a “death investigation.”
It was unclear whether foul play was suspected.
