Two people were declared dead after a neighbor discovered them both unresponsive outside their home in Otsego County.
On February 1, at 4:47 p.m., Otsego County 911 dispatched Otsego County Deputy Sheriffs and New York State Police to a residence in the Town of Roseboom. Law enforcement was dispatched to the scene after Otsego County 911 received word that two people were discovered unresponsive by a neighbor.
When cops arrived, they discovered the unresponsive individuals outside the home. Both were declared deceased.
The deceased were identified as a 70-year-old female and a 77-year-old male from Roseboom.
The law enforcement authorities initiated a swift inquiry, with assistance from Otsego County Coroner Michael Fox.
According to authorities, there is no indication of wrongdoing at this point in the inquiry, and preliminary findings indicate that the deaths were not the product of a crime.
The investigation is underway. This is an active and ongoing case with the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
