A Wildwood woman and her Ocala cohort were apprehended Friday for stealing two Yamaha side-by-sides and some Milwaukee tools.
On Jan. 26, a deputy responded to a theft in Sumterville that was later found to include 30-year-old Elizabeth Ann Anklam and 27-year-old Christopher Ryan Holmes, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The female complainant said that two red Yamaha U-Max side-by-sides were stolen from a storage shed on the property.
The serial numbers for the side-by-sides were subsequently delivered to the deputy, who reported them as stolen. Each was valued at $11,685. In addition, a $200 Milwaukee hammer drill and a $200 Milwaukee drill were reported stolen, totaling $23,770, according to the complaint.
The stolen goods were not discovered until last week as part of a different inquiry. Deputies arrived at 916 W Clarke St. in Wildwood to find multiple golf carts, as well as two side-by-sides. Although a separate guy was charged in connection with the event, Anklam and Holmes were there, according to the report.
On Thursday, February 5, a search order was issued, and the side-by-sides and tools were recovered. According to the investigation, one of the red Yamahas was spray-painted silver, resulting in approximately $600 in body damage.
Anklam and Holmes were detained on Friday afternoon for grand theft, criminal mischief, and burglary of an empty structure (unarmed). They were then transferred to the Sumter County Detention Center.
Anklam was held on a $15,000 bond, with an extra hold in Bay County.
Her priors include accessing a CSX Railroad-owned access road in August 2025, committing felony theft at Walmart in August 2023, and delivering a baby in a filthy home without electricity in October 2014.
Holmes was being held under an $11,000 bond.
