A Cook County man has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term in Livingston County. Carlos Mims, 46, of Chicago, pleaded guilty to manufacturing and delivering 1 to 15 grams of cocaine, a class one felony, and was sentenced to 22 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Mims was given credit for almost 600 days in the Livingston County Jail as part of the plea agreement, and he must serve half of the jail sentence. Prosecutors claim Mims sold the cocaine somewhere in Livingston County.
According to Livingston County court records, Mims was sentenced to 25 years in jail for distributing cocaine in 2007.
