A man is in custody after deputies discovered more than two pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop.
The arrest came after a weeks-long investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit.
Detectives monitored Terro Johnson as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation before apprehending him on February 7.
Deputies initiated the traffic stop after seeing Johnson speeding and driving recklessly.
During the stop, a sheriff’s office K-9 detected the presence of drugs.
During the search, deputies recovered roughly 2.2 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of $90,000.
Johnson was brought into arrest without incident and transferred to the Wayne County Jail.
He is charged with trafficking cocaine or narcotic drugs.
