Teen detained for multiple burglaries in Davenport neighborhood

A 17-year-old was detained early Monday morning after attempting to burglarize vehicles in two areas, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred about 1:09 a.m. on March 16, 2026, when a Sheriff’s Office helicopter saw a suspicious figure on Palmer Road, later identified as 17-year-old Travis Adam Frasier of Davenport. The Aviation Unit reported seeing Frasier enter a parked, unlocked vehicle and then ride a bicycle to the adjoining Prestwick Village neighborhood, where he attempted to open car doors, according to the source.

Multiple patrol units, including K9, Haines City police, and Davenport police, arrived to the scene to construct a perimeter. Deputies apprehended Frasier without difficulty, seeing that he was wearing blue latex gloves.

Frasier was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center in Bartow. He had been on probation since January 28, 2026, for burglary and trespassing, with a curfew preventing him from leaving between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. According to the press release, he now faces accusations such as probation violation, violation of the Youth Protection Order, burglary of conveyance, attempted burglary of conveyance, possession of burglary tools, and loitering and prowling.
