A woman was apprehended after investigators allegedly recovered approximately $24,000 in stolen merchandise in Los Angeles County.
Riverside County detectives launched an investigation on Jan. 25 after a suspect took $3,000 in merchandise from a shop in the 12000 block of Limonite Avenue in Eastvale.
Following an investigation, deputies discovered that the theft was part of a larger organized retail theft operation.
Sandra Flores, 46, from West Covina, was identified as the key suspect. On March 16, a search warrant was filed at her house in the 800 block of Sunset Avenue, and authorities said they uncovered around $24,000 in stolen property.
Photographs of the bust revealed a vast assortment of designer beauty goods and cosmetics. She was arrested for systematic retail theft, criminal profiteering, and receiving stolen goods.
The matter will be sent to the District Attorney’s Office for examination. The situation is still being investigated, thus no further information has been disclosed.
