Woman Apprehended After Ordering Children To Attack 10-Year-Old In Kissimmee

An Osceola County woman was taken into custody on Monday after authorities claimed she ordered her children to assault another child during a disturbance at a Kissimmee apartment complex.

Deputies came to the Heritage Park Apartment Complex on March 16, 2026, after receiving reports of a disturbance involving several teenagers in a communal park.

According to authorities, a physical altercation occurred between a group of children playing in the park. Witnesses reported that one set of children left the area and returned with their mothers.

Deputies say two women got into a verbal fight with several of the youngsters. During the incident, one of the mothers, Ketsy Ann Rivera, 41, is accused of pushing her two children, aged 8 and 9, toward a 10-year-old boy and instructing them to assault him.

According to authorities, Rivera gripped the victim’s shirt, preventing him from fleeing or defending himself.

The child was discovered with considerable puffiness in his left eye. At the site, emergency responders examined the victim and decided that he had sustained no major injuries.

Eventually, the victim’s mother arrived and requested the filing of charges.

Rivera was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child abuse without great bodily harm, and false imprisonment.

She was transferred to the Osceola County Jail.

The investigation is underway.
