A caller threatened to come up with a gun at an East Stroudsburg bank last Tuesday, prompting police to respond.
Stroud Area Regional Police responded to the ESSA Bank on Washington Street about 11:15 a.m. on March 9 after receiving a report of a phone threat, according to a department release.
When police arrived, the branch manager informed authorities that a caller, identified as James Joseph Clyde, stated he was going to the bank with a gun to retrieve his money.
