A 23-year-old Mexican national was apprehended after attempting to enter the United States by climbing under the Bridge of the Americas bridge, according to a social media post by the US Customs and Border Protection Port Director of El Paso.
The man was crossing during “peak traffic hours” under BOTA’s Loop 375 overpass. In the video, the man is “spider climbing” under the bridge.
“CBP officers remain vigilant in the face of new and hazardous attempts to enter the United States illegally.” Strong borders are the foundation of national security,” the message stated.
