A man was apprehended after arriving to pick up children at Wildwood Elementary School.
The Wildwood Police Department’s arrest report states that 55-year-old Andre Lamar Marshall of Wildwood drove to Wildwood Elementary School to pick up or drop off children without a valid license. An officer at the school alerted the others that Marshall had returned on Tuesday afternoon in a Toyota minivan.
A cop stopped the vehicle on Huey Street. When the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed a child in the front seat with the seatbelt under his arm. Marshall then revealed he didn’t have a license since it had been suspended for failure to pay, according to the report.
According to the report, his license had been suspended three times in Pennsylvania, all in 2013, due to failure to appear for a hearing or trial.
Marshall was arrested for driving with a suspended license (second or subsequent violation). The Pennsylvania native was booked into Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting a $500 bond.
