$4M winning lottery ticket claimed in this Mass. town

A player won a $4 million winning ticket Friday in a Massachusetts State Lottery game.

The winning ticket came from the scratch game “$4,000,000 Bonus Money,” which costs $10 to play. The game debuted in September 2024, with three top prizes totaling $4 million. Two of the top prizes have now been claimed, leaving one unclaimed.

The winning ticket was sold at the Richdale Food Shop in Rockland.

Additionally, a player claimed a $100,000 winning ticket in “$15,000,000 Colossal Millions,” a $30 scratch game. That ticket was sold at Liquors 44 in Chicopee.

Another participant won $100,000 in Friday’s Mass Cash drawing. The winning ticket was sold at The Liquor Shop in Lowell.

On Wednesday, at least 671 prizes totaling $600 or more were won or claimed across Massachusetts, with 25 in Springfield, 15 in Worcester, and 49 in Boston.

Every day, the Massachusetts State Lottery distributes a complete list of winning tickets. The list only includes rewards totaling more than $600.

The greatest lottery prize claimed in Massachusetts this year was $25 million. It was a “$25,000,000 Mega Money” ticket purchased at a Cumberland Farms petrol station in Turners Falls, Montague’s largest of five communities.
