Driver Charged In Connection With The Death Of A 10-year-old Girl In Webster

A woman has been taken into custody and charged in connection with the deadly crash that killed a 10-year-old girl in Webster last weekend, police said Friday.

Webster and Southbridge Police arrested Sherrie Mae Plitouke, 35, of Southbridge, at her home on Friday. She has been charged with Motor Vehicle Homicide, Negligent Operation, and Speeding.

On April 11, just before 1 p.m., police received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Officers came to find the girl, Marleigh Guevara, unresponsive. They claimed she had been walking around School Street at the time.

Guevara was transported to UMass Hospital, where she eventually died.

Plitouke is being jailed on $100,000 bail. She is expected to appear in Dudley District Court on April 21.
