A Boston woman won $1 million with a lottery ticket she purchased at a Stop & Shop.
Lisha Ellerbee of Boston won $1 million in the “$4,000,000 Bonus Money” scratch ticket game. The game costs $10 per ticket and was published in September 2024.
As of April 22, four $1 million prizes and one $4 million grand prize remained to be claimed in the game.
Ellerbee chose the cash option for her prize, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes when she presented the winning ticket on March 27.
She told lottery organizers that she intends to use the prize money to buy a car.
Ellerbee purchased her winning ticket at the Stop & Shop on 316 Grove St. in Braintree. The retailer will be awarded a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
