A Central Florida man was taken into custody after threatening to kill Republican President Donald Trump.
Nick Guadalupe Cruz-Lopez, 20, of Plant City, was arrested and accused by criminal complaint of threatening to kill the President of the United States.
According to the complaint, Cruz-Lopez uploaded the following photo on his Instagram account, captioned “MAGA Otw to kill Trump” and showing Cruz-Lopez in a truck clutching an AR-15 like rifle:

That same day, federal authorities apprehended Cruz-Lopez.
If convicted, Cruz-Lopez faces up to five years in federal prison.
The United States Secret Service investigated this Florida case. Assistant US Attorney Ross Roberts will prosecute the case. US Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe made the announcement.
