A Summerfield woman was arrested with drugs again, one week after her most recent arrest.
Stacy Lynn Steady, 48, was a passenger in the back seat of a black Acura when it was pulled down at 12:23 a.m. Wednesday after the female driver ran a stop sign, according to an arrest record from the Fruitland Park Police Department. The officer conducting the traffic stop detected unusual motions in the back seat and dispatched a K-9 unit to the location. A search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of Steady’s methamphetamine.
She was arrested for felony drug possession and brought into the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting the $2,500 bond.
She had been detained exactly one week prior, during a traffic stop at Lady Lake Commons. She was found in possession of fentanyl.
Steady has a lengthy criminal record, including one in March 2025 for dashing through an open field to elude police. She was accused with shoplifting at Walmart in August 2024 and Best Buy in February 2024. She was also arrested for theft at Home Depot in August 2023.
Her previous arrests include theft at Walmart in October 2022, refusing to identify herself at Wawa in July 2021, and going crazy over a girlfriend in September 2020.
