A woman in New York is accused of taking nearly $37,000 in SNAP benefits she was not entitled to.
Elise M. Roberts, 34, was arrested and charged with benefit fraud.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office stated that Roberts reportedly failed to report all people residing in her residence and all income earned there.
As a result, Roberts got a total of $36,667 in SNAP benefits that she was not eligible for.
