Burglars Steal $200K in Art and Antiques in the San Fernando Valley

North Hollywood Home Burglarized, $200K in Art and Antiques Stolen

A North Hollywood home was burglarized Sunday, with thieves stealing about $200,000 worth of art, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The break-in happened around 7 p.m. on Westpark Drive near Riverside Drive, just off the 170 Freeway.

The homeowner was away at the time of the burglary but was later alerted by a neighbor who suspected someone may have been on the property over the past few days. The house had been under construction after a fire.

Police said someone smashed a garage window, and investigators found bedding and other signs indicating the suspect may have been living in the garage.

According to the LAPD, the homeowner reported that more than $200,000 in art and antiques had been stolen.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
