An Inwood man was sentenced to 21 years to life in prison Thursday for murdering his 2-month-old daughter, according to the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors claim Marlon Rabanales Pretzantzin punched, shook, and dumped the child because she refused to stop crying in March 2025.
After his daughter remained unresponsive throughout the abuse, he moved her to a neighboring apartment.
The neighbor called 911, and emergency services came to the site.
The infant was sent to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and eventually died at Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
Prosecutors claim she suffered skull contusions, several rib fractures, extensive hemorrhaging, and displaced vertebrae.
