Police apprehended a woman on suspicion of driving under the influence after responding to a report of reckless driving on Saturday evening.
Officers arrived at 7:30 p.m. to the intersection of N. Shirk Road and Amsterdam Road after getting a report of a vehicle swerving in and out of its lane.
Police found the vehicle in the 700 block of West Main Street and identified the driver as Debora Salazar Stoltzfus, 43, of Pennsylvania, who was the only occupant.
Salazar Stoltzfus admitted to consuming marijuana earlier that day, according to authorities.
Officers discovered marijuana and a smoking apparatus inside the vehicle.
Salazar Stoltzfus underwent standardized field sobriety tests, which revealed evidence of impairment.
Salazar Stoltzfus was further reviewed by a drug identification expert, who recommended a blood test since he was suspected of being under the influence of a restricted substance.
Salazar Stoltzfus will face charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia pending the results of the toxicology testing.
Officer Mariano Wisnowski will bring the allegations before District Judge Jonathan Heisse.
