A 44-year-old man was taken into custody Tuesday after state police said he broke into a neighbor’s apartment while nude.
According to a Connecticut State Police report, Laramie Briggs Jr. faces charges of second-degree burglary, interfering with an officer, and disorderly conduct.
Troopers responded to the apartments at 149 Ashford Center Road on May 20 at 2:25 p.m. after receiving a report of a woman waking up to a man breaking into her home while naked.
According to the complaint, the woman informed police that he masturbated over her as she was resting on her couch before she kicked him out.
The woman recognized the man as a neighbor living on the second floor of the apartment complex.
According to police, Briggs was inside his apartment, but he refused to come out to speak with them.
Troopers entered his apartment and issued verbal directions, to which he responded.
Briggs was arrested and jailed on a $150,000 cash bond. He was set to appear in Danielson Superior Court on Thursday.
