When one man learned he had won big on the Michigan Lottery’s Diamond Wild Time Progressive Fast Cash, there was a celebration in the aisle at Clinton Market East.
He won $301,243 and wanted to remain anonymous when claiming the award, telling lottery officials that a routine trip to the store turned into a memorable morning for both him and the employee there.
“I stopped to get a coffee early one morning on my way to visit my son, so I grabbed a Fast Cash ticket while I was at the store,” said the lucky 64-year-old player, who preferred to remain anonymous. “I checked the ticket as soon as the cashier handed it to me and started yelling when I realized I had won the jackpot. I showed the clerk, and she began yelling and jumping up and down with me.”
The player plans to pay off their truck and save the remainder.
Diamond Wild Time Progressive is a Michigan Lottery Fast Cash game in which the jackpot is split 50/50 with the winner. Each $5 ticket provides players with the opportunity to win prizes ranging from $5 to $3,000, as well as 50% of the Fast Cash progressive jackpot.
