Woman Wanted on Ocean County Warrant Apprehended, Jailed in Essex County

A New Jersey woman wanted on warrants in Ocean County has been apprehended and booked into the Essex County Jail, according to inmate records released Sunday.

Nicole Hamm, 37, was committed to the Essex County Correctional Facility on May 24 and is currently housed at the jail’s main facility in Newark. According to records, Hamm is charged with aggravated assault for allegedly assaulting a correctional official, probation officer, or sheriff’s officer under New Jersey Code 2C:12-1B(5)(H).

Ocean County Warrant Listed in Jail Records

According to jail records, Hamm is being held on detainers issued by both the Bloomfield Police Department and the Berkeley Township Police Department in Ocean County.

The Berkeley Township warrant, with complaint number BMC73875, indicates a total of $500. Another detainer issued by Bloomfield police is for $2,500.

Authorities have not disclosed any information about the aggravated assault charge or the circumstances that led to Hamm’s arrest.

Hamm is identified as a US citizen in the prison database, with no aliases. According to jail records, she is single and is now held in the C3 unit.

The documents checked on Sunday showed no bond postings or scheduled release dates.

The aggravated assault charge and warrant matters are still pending in New Jersey court.
