Body Discovered After Month-Long Search For U.S. College Student

A body has been discovered after a month-long search for a U.S. college student.

Murry Foust, a college student in the United States, failed to show up for class about a month ago. A search has been underway. Tragically, a body has been discovered.

According to the Wilder Police Department, Foust’s body was discovered at 1 Steel Plant Road in the Northern Kentucky community.

“The body of Murry (Alexis) Foust has been located in Wilder by an independently organized search party,” Covington Police reported.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the Foust family and their loved ones during this difficult time and ask that their privacy be respected as they grieve.”

The Foust family released a statement

“Thank you to everyone in the community who has supported our family through this difficult time. By now you have likely learned that Alexis ‘Murry’ Foust has been found and is no longer with us. While our hearts are broken and this is not the outcome we were hoping for, we can only pray that finding them provides closure and comfort to everyone who is hurting. We are establishing an art scholarship fund in their name to honor their love of art. Any donations or proceeds from the sale of Murry’s work will be used to support other art students in the community. The next event is the Cincinnati Art Museum’s ‘Art After Dark’ on 5/29. In the future there will be a pottery fundraiser at NKU,” the family said.

“In the meantime, if you would like to make a donation though the Meal Train link below, we will add it to the art scholarship fund. Thank you again to everyone who came together to support us and lift us up. We pray Alexis ‘Murry’ Foust is at peace.”

Northern Kentucky University released a statement, too.

“We are heartbroken to learn of the death of our student, Murry (Alexis) Foust,” wrote the university in a statement. “Our thoughts are with their family, friends and all who knew them. This is a profound loss for our campus community. We are grateful to the Covington Police Department and all of those who assisted in the search efforts. We encourage any members of our campus community who may be struggling to reach out for support. Counseling services are available around the clock through NKU Counseling Services by calling 859-572-5650.”

May she rest in peace.
